Devblog 16 - Winding Up for the Reset

With just 25 days left until the next reset, the pace behind the scenes has shifted into full sprint mode. My main focus right now is pushing out as much meaningful progress as possible before May arrives. That also means some of the larger systems are entering their “pre‑reset overhaul” phase, so updates may come in bigger, more deliberate bursts rather than the usual daily trickle.

To help everyone follow along, I’m putting together a full breakdown of everything I’ll be tackling this month. Expect a posted schedule sometime this week so you can get a clearer picture of the development flow and what’s coming down the pipeline.

This Week’s Progress

This week’s updates were on the lighter side, mostly because the new user profile pages aren’t quite ready for release yet. They’re close, though, and with a rare week of no closing shifts ahead of me, I’m hoping to knock out a huge chunk of the remaining work.

General Updates

  • Leaderboards now update every 3 hours
  • Guild creation UI has been fully fixed and polished
  • Notifications now alert players when their items sell in the Auction House

Stat Adjustments

A handful of gear sets and weapons received tuning passes this week to help smooth out progression and improve class identity.

  • Dark Iron armor set updated
  • Greatswords buffed
  • Rapiers adjusted
  • Sargionite armor set updated
  • Draenium armor set updated
  • Voidstone armor set updated
  • Elementium armor set updated
  • Treant Heartwood Ballista buffed
  • Moonbeam Arbalist buffed

Recipe Fixes

  • Iron Curved Blade
  • Reinforced Leg Guards

Item Relocations

  • Ash War Bow moved to dungeon loot
  • Truesilver Hatchet moved to the Adventure Guild store

Closing Thoughts

As always, I want to give a huge thank you to everyone who continues to stick around, test things, give feedback, and help shape Morndale into something special. These last few months have been a grind, but the support and patience from the community genuinely keeps this project moving forward.

Here’s to a busy month ahead and a strong push toward the reset.
