Welcome back, adventurers! This week was all about stability, cleanup, and tightening the screws across nearly every system in Morndale. With the February 1st Closed Alpha creeping closer, the focus has been on making sure the core experience feels smooth, predictable, and ready for a wave of testers.

Let’s dive into what’s new.

Core Systems & Stability Fixes

  • Fixed a crafting bug where players wouldn’t receive items when crafting rapidly
  • Resolved the hourly logout issue
  • Fixed the 30‑day “Remember Me” login option
  • Backend login improvements for more reliable authentication
  • Fixed the error 500 that occurred during logout redirects
  • Extended login timer and applied additional fixes to long‑term login persistence
  • Implemented proper version control for safer, more reliable deployments

Gameplay & Progression Improvements

  • Default player health corrected — all players now start at 1000/1000
  • Health regeneration updated from 3 per 10 minutes to 25 per minute
  • Quests can now be item‑specific or skill‑specific
  • Storyline quests and quest prerequisite logic fixed
  • Xarrus questline updated
  • Crafting and gathering actions now properly log progress for quests
  • Backend logging improved for canceling crafts and gathers

Skills, Items & Equipment

  • Skill page now correctly swaps between items within the same skill
  • Players can now swap skills with a confirmation prompt
  • Skills overview page fully replaced the old skills page
  • Fixed equipment stat calculations when equipping items
  • Two‑handed weapons added to the equipment page
  • Fixed missing items that weren’t appearing in the equipment interface

World, NPCs & Property

  • Fixed an issue where some Shopkeepers/NPCs wouldn’t load — caused by backend level requirements without proper feedback
  • Land and property are now unlocked for all players
  • New players automatically unlock their first property

Guilds, UI & Quality of Life

  • Guild side navigation now correctly routes to your guild if you’re a member
  • Achievement log combat level tracking fixed
  • Activity log now shows accurate timestamps instead of “Just Now”
  • User profile styles adjusted for better support across different screen resolutions
  • Added Leaderboards under the Hub tab

Looking Ahead

With the foundation now much more stable, next week is all about items, recipes, and balancing. The goal is to get a strong batch of new content into the hands of closed testers so I can gather feedback before the February 1st milestone.
